![]() I always authorize it, but it keeps asking every time and G Hub never recognizes that Discord is running. And this is coming from someone who has been doing software technical support for 25 years.Īlso, now every time I run Discord it asks to authorize G Hub. I have Googled around and tried every single solution in excruciating detail and nothing has worked. I have tried running both programs as administrator, makes no difference. Uninstalled both G Hub and Discord, wiped the registry and the hard drive of anything to do with Logitech or Discord, rebooted, reinstalled both programs, rebooted, ran G Hub, activated Discord integration, ran Discord, authorized integration with Logitech, and.nothing. Whether it's Logitech or Discord who is responsible for this sudden issue, I really hope it gets fixed as soon as possible. Ideally, the app integration is the way to go because it avoids all of these issues completely. Alternatively, if Alt plus a movement key is bound to something specific, like it is in some MMOs, it could pop open a window or do some other such thing if you're moving while tapping your custom mute shortcut.Īgain, I appreciate the workaround, but I just want people to know that it has the potential to cause side effects. In hectic games, this can get you killed. For instance, I've played some games where I'm holding W to move forward and I tap my custom mute key and it registers Alt+W in that moment and stops me from moving until I release and re-press W. This means that for that brief moment of tapping the shortcut key, any other keys you are pressing may also receive that modifier key. If you use modifier keys like Alt, that can break functionality because it is sending both Alt and the other key. I need the instantaneous response.Īnother potential issue is with key conflicts/overlaps. ![]() ![]() I can't just pause my choking for several seconds. I don't want to subject anyone to those noises but I don't usually have several seconds of notice to mute and wait for Discord to register. It causes me to frequently need to cough or wheeze or choke back saliva. I have a partial disability where my throat is damaged. This might not be an issue for most, but it is for some of us. Using the proper integration method is always instant no matter what games/software you are running. While running CPU-intensive applications (like many Ubisoft games), this method often suffers a delay (up to several seconds) between pressing the key and the muting actually taking place. It comes with caveats that people should be aware of. This post is appreciated, but to be clear, this is a workaround, not a fix. I'll probably leave this setup going forever, unless I run into some weird unforeseen issues which might get me to re-try the integration. Drag and drop the new macros onto the buttons you want to assign them to - see highlighted here.In G HUB, go to your mouse -> Assignments -> MACROS -> CREATE NEW MACRO and set it up similar to this - note the standard delay (or a delay of some sort) is good to enable, otherwise the buttons get pressed at the same time (?) and Discord might not like that.In Discord go to Settings -> Keybinds and set up the binds you want. ![]() F24 to a mouse key and pressing that for a bind in the Discord Settings -> Keybinds menu - though Discord doesn't exactly know what the key is (even though it works), so I'm staying with the macro solution. Note these essentially work the exact same as the Discord integration (as long as you set a 'unique' enough key bind), they should just be less likely to break.īefore we get to my proposed fix, it seems you can get away with just binding e.g. I have set up normal macros for this and thought I'd share the process with anyone who is interested. This integration has given me headaches before, so I've now decided to just make do without it. ![]() MANUAL ~5 MIN FIX BELOW (EDIT: please see below comments for possible drawbacks and limitations) ![]()
